Welcome to Troop 146!

Here you will find what you need to get started with our Troop.  If you have any questions, please let us know through our contact form.

Ready to join the Troop?  The following steps will guide you through the steps you need to take.  

 

Step 1:   Obtain adult and youth registration forms from the Troop Membership Coordinator.

 

Step 2:   Fill out the application for your son and one, or both, parents.  We encourage parents to be active participants in our Troop.

 

Step 3:   Once applications are completed, have Mr. Krutina (Committee Chair) to sign them.

 

Step 4:   Turn in the signed applications to the Scout Office and pay the registration fees. Scout annual registration is $86.00.  Adult leader’s annual registration fee is $66.00.

 

Step 5:    Purchase a Class A uniforms from the Scout Store and Class B uniform from the  Troop.  Please see the “Uniforms” section on this page for more details.

 

Step 6:   The same parent(s) in Step 2 will need to complete the BSA Youth Protection Training.  This training can be found at: https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/

Uniforms can be purchased at the Ogden Scout Shop located at 1200 E. 5400 S. Ogden, UT 84403.

 

You will need to purchase the following items at the Ogden Scout Shop:
(Visit the “New Parents Info” section of our website for more details/pictures)

  • A tan Boy Scout Class A uniform shirt
  • A pair of BSA shorts or pants. *
  • A BSA belt
  • A red BSA neckerchief with white lettering
  • A BSA neckerchief slide
  • World Crest Emblem
  • Crossroads of the West shoulder insignia
  • Green shoulder loops or epaulets
  • Troop “1 4 6” number patches
  • A Boy Scout Handbook

    Note: Used uniforms may be obtained free from our Troop Uniform Exchange but are limited to quantity and sizes on hand.  Please see Mr. Edgerton or Mr. Nielsen at a Troop meeting to check our supply.

 

    *  Green pants of similar color to the BSA pants can also be used.

 

You will also need to purchase the following items from Troop 146:

  • Troop 146 hat
  • Class B Troop 146 T-Shirt (suggested you purchase more then 1, especially if you will be attending summer camp)

  • Troop 146 beanie
